Lazy Saturdays are hands down the best thing ever. I swear I was planning on getting up early and going to the gym. Then 10 AM rolled around and I was still in bed, in my pajamas, sipping on my cup of coffee and I knew for a fact I sure as hell was not getting out of bed anytime soon. The gym will be there tomorrow. Not to mention it snowed last night so I’m definitely not going outside now.

We were spoiled there for a little while with 60-degree weather in winter, but the real Chicago winter seems to be here to stay.

I normally hate staying inside all day. It makes me feel lazy and unproductive. However, after having a really busy week with my internship and my job, I’m embracing this lazy day.

Over the years I’ve learned the importance of self-care. It comes in a lot of different forms. It can be something simple like putting on a facemask or spending the whole day in your pajamas and binge watching your favorite TV show. Today I’m going with the latter.

I checked my email and organized my bullet journal for this coming week so at least I did a couple productive things. Other than that, I’m being lazy today. I’m watching the eighth season of Friends, I have my favorite sugar cookie candle lit, and I have no intentions of leaving my warm apartment today. Honestly, watching the snow fall is way better indoors wrapped up in my fuzzy blanket.

Plus, my Book of the Month December box came today so I have two new books to start reading! I’m seriously like a kid on Christmas morning when my Book of the Month box comes, but I’ll save my love for BOTM for another blog post!

So here’s to lazy Saturdays and taking time to take care of yourself.
